All powerful kawaii-kowaii (scary-cute) Babymetal, who are a bit like Marmite or natto amongst some metallers, have been announced as new additions to the Fuji Rock line-up.

The band have gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years, garnering a keen following in the UK after successful appearances at Download and with an appearance at London’s Wembley Arena. Be ready to keep those horns in the air though, as new addition Deafheaven, whose brand of black-metal-shoegaze-post-hardcore will be a show not to be missed.

Radwimps frontman Yojiro Noda brings his solo project Illion to the festival and The New Mastersounds from the UK will be getting things funky while La Gossa Sorda from Spain keep things international with their unique brand of reggae-infused rock:
